This is a much needed project that should be moved to the top of the list. The current system requires transferring twice which frequently adds 10 plus minutes to a trip. It will also make accesses to several downtown locations more covenant. With the opening of the Expo line and the Foothill Extension of the Gold line it will be difficult for Union Station and the 7th St Metro Station to handle the expanded service. This is a must project and it should be built ASAP as a subway with the connection to the Gold Line at First and Alameda below grade as to avoid saver congestion of traffic movement with restrictions if the connection is at grade.
