Railinc has announced the town hall meeting and training schedule for the new Umler system. The town hall meetings begin in June and will be held in Atlanta, Chicago and Dallas. Live online webinars are scheduled to begin in late May.
Registration for the town hall meetings and webinars is now open on the Railinc Web site at https://www.railinc.com/rportal/web/guest/umlerschedule. There is no fee to participate.Umler users can begin to participate in many training activities right now, including test driving the new system. The Umler system sandbox lets equipment owners and their agents practice the basic functions of the system without incurring any penalties for mistakes. User training for the new Umler system also includes a “go-guide” to help users get ready for the system; web demos covering key system functions; training webinars; and other critical reference materials.
Visit the Umler project site for more details: www.railinc.com/umler.
Although critical milestones remain before the system can be implemented, the new Umler system is on-track and on-target for launch on July 25, 2009.
That sounds interesting, and is this open to anyone? Or does this cost something once your there?
When Prodigy, and compuserve, and aol were all wet dreams,I was beta-testing them, is this system looking for beta-testers,if so I'dbe interested.
Thanks James - we have extensive user testing programs currently underway or already completed for this release. We're focusing on training efforts and providing resources to help people learn the ins and out of the new system so there will be minimal disruption to their work....
Thanks again.
