  • This article fails to mention a few things:

    1.  Rush+ will decrease service to 16,000 daily riders on the Blue Line between Pentagon and Rosslyn.

    2.  Off peak rail fares  for July 1 have been restructured from a 3-tiered pricing scheme to a much higher variable fare (realigned with the peak pricing scheme).

    3.  The fares for peak rail travel after July 1 will be, in many cases, higher than the fares that are currently being charged for "peak of the peak.

    4.  Paratransit fares (variable fares which are a composite of twice the comparable fastest fixed route and capped at $7) will rise dramatically due mainly to the changes in the off-peak rail components.
