Operation Lifesaver's new leadership

As the new president and chief executive officer of Operation Lifesaver Inc., Joyce Rose is taking over at an important juncture in the organization's history — and in her own career. The nonprofit railroad-safety education organization is recovering from a recent period of uncertainty over funding. At the same time, Rose's appointment as OLI's top executive represents a major change in her career after she served more than 25 years as a Capitol Hill staffer.

  • "Operation Lifesaver" is the most important rail crossing safety program ever! Railroad is exclusive private right-of-way. The general public needs to be educated regarding approaching train caution. As our nation works closer to faster rail passenger service, educational resources as Operation Lifesaver provides will become even more important!
