In pursuit of better safety grades at the railroad/highway interface

To make better safety grades at crossings, freight and passenger railroads continue to push the three "E's" — education, enforcement and engineering — as writer Wally Weart reports in our 14th annual grade crossing update. As part of that push, they're also pursuing closures and stronger partnerships with federal, state and local authorities.
