Earlier this summer, I had the pleasure of talking with CN Vice President and Chief Information Officer Serge Leduc about the extent to which information technology (IT) is embedded in the Class I's organizational soul. We chatted a bit about his career path, his department's key projects and the integrated approach he's taking to manage it all. We also talked about the evolution of technology and what it could mean for the rail realm. Ultimately, Leduc's charge is every CNer's charge: to be a precision railroader who strives to be more customer centric (i.e., a supply-chain enabler). And technology's a tool that will help them get there. The story that resulted from the conversation was published in our September issue. You can read it here.
