Oh Larrrry....

  • I see your in Chicago...want to duke it out at Northwestern University Transportaion Library and or Loyola Law School? I can bring a freind from my Sandhouse Gang at Northwestern Transportation Center and you can bring a freind of your choice.

  • Uhhh, Ray, you do know that Mr. K actually has presented to the Hagestaders, right?

You might wanna find yourself a different second for your duel.

  • Geez, I go away for a couple of weeks and it appears the inmate has taken over the asylum.  Yes, I have "presented" to the Sandhouse Gang.  In fact, I have done so on more than one occasion, so we shall assume that those who invited me either are ignorant about rail public policy issues (my area of specialty) or they thought I delivered the goods that Sandhouse members wanted (needed) to hear.  As I have pointed out in other contexts, I put my name on my work.  That's what journalists do, and I have been more a journalist than an advocate in my career.  It is the "commoncarriers" and others of their ilk who assert the right to demonstrate their ignorance in public while hiding their identities from that same public.  Next.

  • A day shy of two weeks since my reply to the blather of "commoncarrier."  No response.  Could it be that he's seen the light and withdrawn from the discussion?  When your words have been rammed down your throat, "commoncarrier," the best reaction is for you go run and hide.

  • Dont you live in Cleveland or somehere near there??

  • I grew up in Cleveland and worked there for The Cleveland Press (late lamented).  I'm not sure what that has to do with anything being discussed on these forums.  As for the guy who calls himself "commoncarrier," his English and spelling are atrocious.  He might give others the courtesy of trying to write with clarity.  That way, even his silly ideas might gain more credibility.

  • Bill Barrow at Clevelans State has both the Clevaland Press Collection and the railroad archives for the area...Since we are on the topic why did CUT abandon Electric Trains in the 1950s?

  • Sorry, not my area of greatest interest or knowledge.  You'll have to ask CUT whe it did anything.

  • The Cleveland Press did get news print by rail at its lakefront complex the door is at the basement of the office complex that replaced it that is the home of Jones Day Law firm
